Surplus or marked “New” or Refurbished Products, and Unauthorized Repairs are not the same as Factory Manufactured or Factory Repaired products and represent a substantial risk:
EZAutomation has identified products in the market represented as “new”, “surplus” or “refurbished”. These products, particularly those labled "refurbished" or "repaired" are "materially different" than products manufactured by EZAutomation, that employ stringent quality control procedures including HALT/HASS and 24 Hour Burn-in at 50° C. And thus these non-factory products are not genuine.
 We suspect that some of these suppliers collect electronic components such as displays, touchscreens, printed circuit boards, assemblies and other parts from scrapped products that have lived their lives* and bought by these unauthorized suppliers as scrap (also known as Gray market), and thus are "materially different" and not genuine products. These factory products do not follow our strict manufacturing and quality standards and possibly even use unauthorized and non-conforming components such as electronic capacitors, transistors etc.

Use of such non-genuine products that are “materially different” than Factory Direct products, may result in:
- Unwarranted line down costing thousands of dollars.

- Poor reliability.

- Safety violations.

- UL violations.

- Security violations, particularly cyber security violations.

- Regulatory violations.

- Software license violations.

- No technical support from Factory.

How to Identify & Minimize Risk? Red flags to watch:
- “Surplus” or marked “new” not in EZautomation’s original package.
- Ordered as “Refurbished”
- Repaired by “certified third party technicians”. Manufacturing and testing of EZAutomation products is extremely complex requiring years of training and equipment worth millions of dollars. EZAutomation NEVER HAD and DOES NOT HAVE ANY THIRD PARTY ENTITY AUTHORIZED TO DO SO.
- Third party warranty is not EZAutomation warranty.
- Product origin is limited or unclear.
If you are buying the EZAutomation product from a reseller, make sure that it is in the original factory packaging with all original accessories and complete documentation and is guaranteed to be unused and brand new.

Some of these Unauthorized Suppliers selling non-genuine products are spreading utterly false narrative that many of our products have been “Discontinued by Manufacturer”. EZAutomation seldom obsoletes any product and in rare cases if it does, it has an upgraded substitute.
