Why EZ5 is a much better choice than CM5, learn more:

• CM5 is not an appropriate drop-in substitute for EA9. CM5 10” is really 8”, CM5 12” is really 10”, CM5 15” is really a 12”. This is because standard screens have an aspect ratio of 4:3 but CM5 is all wide angle 16:9.

• CM5 is not an appropriate drop-in replacement and is really made in China and transshipped to Japan. It's boot up time is 3x slower than EA9 or EZ5 and many customer complain about its limited memory.

• When comparing identical screen sizes for example CM5 12” which is the same as EZ5 10”, CM5 is currently 28.8% higher in price than EZ5 and when 15% tariffs hit it will be 48% higher than EZ5.

• CM5: No direct replacement available for 8” and 15” EA9 models. For 10” replacement of EA9, CM5 is actually 8”, For 12” replacement of EA9, CM5 is actually 10”. Screens have to be redesigned as CM5 has a different aspect ratio. Also, EA9 programs written before May 9, 2022 (Firmware 6.72 or earlier) cannot be converted to CM5

• Current CM5 will go up in price if made in Japan. Current price is not sustainable as the Japanese Manufacturing Labor Rate of $35/hr., same as the US, is 16 times higher than China’s Labor Rate of $2/hr.

• EZ5, Screen Brightness to be increased to 500nits ALMOST DOUBLE OF CM5 and screen resolution is one-two steps above.

• EZAutomation is offering FREE program conversion from CM5 with placement of just a single panel order.

• Patented HMI On-Line Edit to change or edit screen objects live on the fly without turning the machine off. Great Feature to avoid having to replace the entire HMI if only a repeat button that’s in constant use goes out.

• MiniWiFi addition will prevent floor production interruptions, make edits 50ft away. C-More takes 20-60 minutes for edits.

• Remote Monitoring and Control over laptop, tablet or smartphone
